説教あらすじ 「『にもかかわらず』の信仰」 (25/02/2024)
[へブル人への手紙 １１章２９～３１節]
◆出エジプトの民の信仰（２９～３０節）
・２９節と３０節に出てくる『人々』とはどちらも「出エジプトの民」だが、別の世代。前者は不信仰の故に荒野で滅び、後者は恵みによって「約束の地」に入った。「荒野で滅んだ民」は、エジプトでも荒野でも数多くの神のみわざを経験したにも関わらず不信仰に陥った。[民数記１４：6-11] それは何故か？
・恐らく彼らは「出来事や現象」だけを見て、「原因である方」をしっかり認識していなかった。真の『信仰』とは、「何かが起こること」を信じるのではなく、「起こる起こらないにかかわらず」、その根源である『神である主』を信じているということ。[ダニエル書３：16-18]
◆遊女ラハブの信仰（３１節）
・一方「遊女ラハブ」は、この時点では神のみわざを実際に『見た』ことはなく、『聞いたことがある』だけだった。[ヨシュア記２：8-11] それにもかかわらず彼女はリスクを冒して偵察隊をかくまった。この「捨て身の信仰」の故に、彼女は想像を超えた報酬を受けることになる。「ヨルダン川が堰き止められる奇跡」「エリコの城壁が崩れ落ちる奇跡」を目撃し、また「イエス・キリストの系図に含まれる」という光栄を受けるのである。
・私たちもこのラハブ同様「聞いただけで、見ずに信じた者たち」である。私たちも主イエスの十字架の現場にいた訳ではないが、心から信じている。[Ⅰペテロ１：8-9] これが「見ずに信じる者」が受ける『救い』という報酬。
◎更に深い学びのために
①「出エジプトの民」はどうして荒野で不信仰に陥ったのでしょう？ 彼らと「遊女ラハブ」は、何が違いましたか？
②「見て信じること」と「見ないで信じること」とでは、それぞれどんな長所・短所があるか、考えてみましょう？
③「にもかかわらずの信仰」を持って生きるために、私たちはどのような点で成長する必要があるでしょうか？

[Hebrews 11：29～31]
◆Faith of “Exodus people”.（Verses ２９～３０）
・People who crossed the Red Sea perished in the desert for their unbelief. [Numbers１４：6-11] Why is that？
・Probably they were only looking at “God’s performance” but not “God Himself”. True “faith” is to believe
God “even if” He does not meet what “we hope or expect”. [Daniel ３：16-18] Some people start believing God
because of “answered prayers”. It is good but these people have to understand that God does not
necessarily answer our prayers.
◆Faith of “Rahab the prostitute”.（Verse ３１）
・On the other hand, Rahab had never experienced “God’s miracle” but only heard about it. [Joshua ２：8-11]
Yet she took a risk and harbored spies from Israelites. Because of this faith, she received incredible blessings
such as, “watching people crossing Jordan river”, “the walls of Jericho falling down” and even she was
included in the genealogy of Christ！
・We also believed without seeing Christ. We may have never experienced God’s miracles but still loving Him.
[ⅠPeter１：8-9] This “inexpressive joy of salvation” is the blessing we have received！

①What are differences between “people of Exodus” and “Rahab the prostitute”？
②What is different between “believing by seeing” and “believing without seeing”？
