説教あらすじ　「クリスチャンTシャツ」　(08/06/2025)

◆「クリスチャンTシャツ」とは？

　・「クリスチャンTシャツを着て生きる」とは、目に見える振る舞いにおいて「クリスチャンっぽく」生きようとすること。「クリスチャンとは、こうあるべきだ」という自分の信念に基づいているわけだが、私たちは弱い存在なので、いつか必ず行き詰まり、疲れてくる。

　・パウロは「イエス・キリストを着なさい（ローマ１３：14）」と言った。分かるような、分からないような言葉である。「自分の力ではなく、キリストの霊によって」というような意味だろうが、実際的にどうしたら良いのかはっきりしない。

◆お揃いTシャツ

　・ある時妻が「お揃いのTシャツを買おう」と言った。もちろん大賛成だったが、彼女の選んだTシャツは全く私の　 好みに反していた。しかし私はその提案に同意し、着ることにした。何故なら、自分の大好きな相手が「一緒に着　 よう」と言ったからだ。正直言ってあまり似合わないかもしれないし、周囲は笑ったり冷やかしたりするかもしれな　 い。しかしそんなことはあまり大したことではないのだ。

　・『クリスチャン』としての私たちの歩み（「イエス・キリストを着る」ということ）も、これと似ているのではないだろうか？ キリストに従って生きることは、初めのうちは自分の価値観とピッタリ合わなくて、違和感を感じるかもしれない。しかし大好きなイエス様が「一緒にこの人生を歩もう！」と招いてくださっているだけで十分意味があるのだ！

◆What is “Christian tee shirt”？

　・Wearing “Christian tee shirt” means “covering up what’s inside of us” and behave like who you think “Christian” is.   Maybe we can live like that for a while, then become exhausted and may give up on faith.

　・Paul writes, “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ（Romans１３：14）”.  Sounds great but what does it really mean?  Can be something like, “Not by own strength but by the Spirit of Christ”.  Then how do we do it!?

◆Matching tee shirt.

　・One day my wife suggested me to buy “matching tee shirt” with her.  I was delighted!  But the design she chose  was not my taste at all…  Did I buy it?  Yes.  Why?  Because the design does not matter but “wearing matching tee shirt with someone I love” matters!

　・Our life as “Christian” can be something like this.  Following Christ may not fit our lifestyle at the beginning but  rather uncomfortable.  People around us may make fun of us.  That’s ok!  Because our Lord Jesus is walking right beside us, wearing “matching tee shirt” and constantly smiling at me saying, “how nice to walk with you”！

Today’s main point：   Matching tee shirt with Jesus.
