[ヨハネ13: 1-5]　　＊『限られた命』と宣告されたら、あなたはどうしますか？

◆[１節]　イエスはその愛を残るところなく（最後まで）表現された。－今まで同様に…

・イエスは『限られた命』を、「目に見えるもの（やがて失われるもの）を蓄えること」に費やすのではなく、「愛する

ことによって、他の人々の人生にインパクトを与えること」のために費やした。

◆イエスはどのように「愛を示された」のか？

①父なる神との関係において [３節]

　　・イエスにとって「愛する」とは、「人々との相互関係」ではなく、父から出て、再び父の許へ帰る者としての

「置き土産」のようなものだった。それ故、人々からの見返りを何も必要としていなかった。彼は「御父と

の愛の関係」の中にこそ、何ものにも換えがたい満足を見出していたのである。

　　　　②人々の態度に関わりなく [２節]

　　　　　　・イエスがご覧になるのは「What we do」ではなく「Who we are」。「神によって造られ」「神に愛され」

「自分のいのちを代価として支払う対象」である私たち。

　　　　③具体的な行動が伴う [４～５節]（感情ではない）　＊Love is Action.（『恋』は名詞、『愛』は動詞）

　　　　　　・神は私たちを愛しつつ、ただ御座にすわっているだけの方ではない。私たちの必要のために、ただ

「何が最善かを考えるだけ」の方ではなく、まず「自分自身をささげた」。[マルコ10:45]

◆この章の終わりにイエスは、「わたしがあなたがたを愛したように…」と言われた。

　　・ただ形だけを真似てもダメ。まず父なる神との関係の中で、真の満足を見出さなくては不可能。その上で、

神がご覧になるように人々を見、彼らの必要のために喜んで自分をささげていく者としていただこう。

[John 13: 1-5]　　＊What do you do if your remaining days are very limited.

◆[Verse 1]　 Jesus showed the full extent of his love. － This is just what he had been doing！

・Jesus spent his 『Limited life』 not to get 「earthly things （which would not last）」 but to love and give people

so that they may get something which last forever.

◆ How did Jesus demonstrate his love？

① Based on the relationship with the Father. [Verse 3]

　　・For Jesus 「Loving」 is not 「correlation」 but like 「a parting present」 before returning to the Father.

He did not need anything in exchange.  He was completely content with the relationship with the Father.

　　　　② No matter how people treat him. [Verse 2]

　　　　　　・Jesus does not pay attention to 「What we do」 but 「Who we are」.  Those who 「are created in His

image」, 「are loved by the Father」 and 「he is going to pay his own life for」.

　　　　③ Always with action. [Verses 4-5]（not feelings.）　＊Love is Action.（『Longing』 is a noun, but 『Love』 is a verb.）

　　　　　　・God cannot just remain sitting on His throne with loving us.  He is not just thinking 「The best idea」 for

us, but has given His own life for us. [Mark 10:45]

◆ At the end of this chapter, Jesus said, 「Love one another as I have loved you.」

　　・We cannot just imitate what Jesus did.  First of all, we must be fully content in the intimate relationship with

the Father.  Then we’ll be able to see people just as God sees and to give ourselves for their needs.
