◆イエスは『光』である。 [ヨハネ１：6-9]

・イエスご自身の証言。 [ヨハネ８：12]

イエスに従う者は、決して「やみの中」を歩まず、「いのちの光」を持つ。では「光とやみ」とは？

◆『光』とは？ [創世記１：3-4]

・神が天地創造の初日に、その存在を命じたもの。「太陽」のことではなく、言わば『神の栄光』そのもの。

・神はすべての被造物がご自身の満ち満ちた栄光を反映するようにと計画され、その『光』をやみと区別された。

そしてご自身の栄光がどんなやみの中にあっても輝き、やがては光がやみを打ち砕くように定められた。そし

てそれがイエス・キリストによって実現した。私たちはこのキリストによって『光』と出会う。[Ⅱコリント４：6]

◆私たちと光との関係

・光に背を向けて歩むと、自分の影を見ながら生きることになる。しかし光の方を向いて生きるなら、そこには

『自分』もなく、『光』だけになる。そしてこの光は私たち自身の内にさえ光を灯す。[エペソ５：8-11]

◆光の中を歩む [Ⅰヨハネ１：5-9]

・「光の中を歩む」とは「神との交わりの中に生きる」ということ。暗闇に誘惑されて、つい後ろを振り向いて失敗

したとしても、もう１度『方向転換（悔い改め）』をして、神との交わりの中へ戻ることができる。

◆Jesus is “the light”. [John１：6-9]

・Jesus himself witnessed that he was “the light”. [John ８：12]

Whoever follows Jesus will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Then what is “light and darkness” really？

◆What is “the light”？ [Genesis１：3-4]

・On the first day of Creation God said, “Let there be light”.  This is different from “the sun” which was made

on the 4^th day.  This is more like “the glory of God”.

・God created everything to reflect fullness of His glory.  His light shines even in the darkness and it would

eventually crush the darkness.  It happened through Christ.  Therefore we find “the light” in him.

[ⅡCorinthians ４：6]

◆How do we relate to the light？

・When we walk our backs to the light, we walk with looking at our shadows.  But when we walk to the light,

we can only see the light and our shadows disappear.  In fact this light comes into our life. [Ephesians ５：8-11]

◆Walk in the light. [ⅠJohn１：5-9]

・“Walking in the light” means “living in the fellowship with God”.  We are weak and may fall into the darkness

time to time, but we can always “turn around (repent)” to the light again and go back to the fellowship with God.
